Advice: g4 or wait for ati

Hi, i'd like to ask for advice, i'm thinking to upgrade my geforce 3 ti 200, and i'm not sure if it's worthy to go now for a g4 4400 or wait for an ati 9500. I don´t have the budget to go for a 9700, and i'm interested in play ut2003 and battlefield with good details and fps(over 100).

I got an athlon 1600, 256Mb ram, kt333 board.

You don't need 100fps. 60 is all that you need in any game.

I wouldn't suggest a Ti4400. Not a good price/performance card. For Nvidia, get a Ti4200. You can OC to Ti4400 easy.

For ATI, if you don't want to spend the money on a 9700, then wait for the 9500.

Whether or not you want to buy the nv30, wait for it till X-Mas because when this graphiccard gets released, prices of the GF4s and 9700s will drop and you will certainly profit from this process... maybe even then you want to reconsider and purchase the new nvidia card after having read some reviews

a GF4 Ti4200 is more then enough for playing UT2003 and Battlefield at 1024x768 with full details unless of course your CPU can keep up...

Ok, u only need 60FPS, and also your vid card is fine for now. If necessary, overclock it a lil bit, it'll run ut2k3 just fine and for battlefield (r u talking about 1942) it is fine too.

What if you had admin rights to life?
