Hi guys,

I'm about to upgrade my PC a little bit. Purchasing Intel i5-8400 CPU (great price here and I heard good things about it), but I have no clue what motherboard to buy. I've gotten few advices so far, but some of them are contradicting each other.

So far I've been recommended some of these:

https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z370P-D3-rev-10#kf

https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B360M%20Pro4/index.asp

https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z370%20Pro4/index.asp#osW1064

Perhaps I've forgotten one or two, not sure now.

I've heard from one guy that Z370P one is a good choice (can't apparently be overclocked though?), then some other guy tells me it's not so good and to avoid it...

Now I'm sitting here not knowing what to order when it comes to Motherboard, so I'm asking for advice from you good people. I mainly use my PC for gaming, but I don't really have history of overclocking so it isn't a big deal just now, but perhaps I'd do it in the future.

If it means anything, my GPU is MSI GTX 970 gaming 4G.

So yeah, I'm looking something that I can use long term, and that's quality. My budget for new Motherboard is approximately €110, but If I can end up with something then great. Thanks in advance those who help me.

Solution
The CPU is locked so I would go with a H370/B360 or H310 if it is cheaper then the Z370 and has the features you require. All of them have a PCIE slot so your GPU will fit into the board fine.
