I am a first time builder looking for some final advice on some system components.

Here is the Pcpartpicker link http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3HVR3C

I designed this PC for budget 4k gaming, but I also might want to other things with it in the future like VMs, ramdrives, editing, and programming. I will not be upgrading this PC for a minimum of 3 years and preferably 5 so I do need some future proofing.

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated :wahoo:

If you have the extra $200, this is a much better PC. It's powerful and silent. If you buy it, put the PWM fans on the radiator for the water cooler, and the other three, two on the front, and one in on the rear.

Any questions, just ask me.

😀

Thanks mad for responding. The cpu and motherboard are a combo deal at microcenter it was the cheapest motherboard they offered and it still has some nice features. I thought the Corsair cx750M was a decent PSU can you link the tier system you mentioned. Another question I don't know if you saw but PCpartpicker said this about my ram choice

The G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2133 Memory operating voltage of 1.6V exceeds the Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.

I did some research and choose this ram since 2133 is one of the speeds supported by this motherboard and has a good cas latency of 9, do you think the voltage is going to be a problem

Thanks Pixelated for the suggestion but I want a 4k gaming PC and I don't want to spend more than 3000 USD on this rig. I don't really need usb 3.1 or the CPU horsepower thats why I choose an i5 and the motherboard I did. If I do start doing more cpu intensive stuff then I will deal with the reduced performance the i5 has.

Also I have not picked out headphones and I have budgeted $200 for it, I want something that has a mic but is decent at listening to music, any suggstions.

Your right Mad I looked up the PSU tier thread and I did not realize the PSU I was getting was a tier 4:pt1cable:. I am going to get the Corsair RM750 from newegg only $35 more expensive than the Corsair CX750 . Any other advice?

What air cooler do you sugest? I don't want to do water-cooling, and I don't want to spend more than $50 on it. I want to overclock the cpu, but I am not aiming for the world's highest overclock. Also any thoughts on the the RAM Voltage thing that PCpartpicker said?? Thanks
