Hey all
I just had to replace some parts in my computer due to a failed overclock and this has meant the need to buy new memory...i am currently using a 256mb dimm out of another computer until i decide what memory to get for this, i was just hoping for some help on choosing the appropriate memory
The motherboard i have is an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe with a 2500+ Athlon XP cpu, I was thinking of getting 2x256 Mb of corsair or OCZ but i was wondering if that was a little over the top and wether i should go with something a little more standard....since it's a dual channel motherboard is it really nescissary to buy dual packaged dimms or can you just buy to of the same type from a store and have that work fine too?
I probably won't be overclocking even though i want to because it's not my computer, my father is very conservative when it comes to things like that
