I am building my first gaming computer and am going to buy as soon as I decide on parts. I plan on keeping the set-up for web browsing and general multi-tasking for years to come, so there may be future upgrades. I plan on reusing my old HDD and dvd drive.
Here is what I'm looking at:
-Intel i5-3570k 229.99 (-15)

-Rosewill Challenger U3 59.99 (-20)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147060
(Just looking for a good deal and usb 3)

-G.skill Ripjaws 8gb 45.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314

-ASROCK z77 extrem 4 + win 7 199.98
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1004191

-Apevia atx-cb700w 39.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817148046
OR
-Rosewill RG 630 59.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182200
(I really don't know about psus )

-GPU: not sure about them but I'm looking at four:
EVGA GTX 560 se (110) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130770
EVGA 560 DS SSC (150) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130685
ASUS 560 (150) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121446
XFX Double D HD 6870 (150) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150521

Current cost about 650-700. Please let me know anything that I could do to maximize my set up and price point.

GPU wise you can do much better. The 6950 is old. The 7850 is where you want to be at for modern games honestly. Mainly because the 7850 can overclock easily with just a slight slider.

Also Deus, read reviews from major sites. The PSU is fine. If JG gave the ZT 750 a 9, it's a solid unit. JG is one of the best PSU reviewers out there.

Also, for the PSU you don't want to cheap out but it doesn't mean you want to spend an overpriced amount to get something. Corsair prices their PSUs way too high depending on the model. The EA650 from Antec sits just at $70 and performs as well as a TX650 for $20 less so cheaping out doesn't mean it's bad. You're just saving money...
I'm heading down to micro center soon to pick up i5-3570k and likely asrock extreme 4 (best option?), which will cost around $300. That leaves 350-450 that I would ideally like to spend on case, psu, gpu, and ram (I might wait before getting windows 7), although my absolute budget could go maybe 100 higher (not ideal). I might pick up something at microcenter if there is a good deal. I'm open to whatever maximizes how long this rig will be capable of decent performance.

Ok, in that case, I recommend the radeon hd 6870. It outperforms the gtx 560s. Everything else looks like solid choices at your budget. Just make sure you at least grab one of the PSUs I recommended. Don't cheap out on the PSU, otherwise the other parts in your build may suffer from performance loss or may fry.

You need to get a quality PSU. OCZ doesn't make very reliable PSUs. The antec PSU aznshinobi recommended above would be a great idea. Either the hd 6850 or the 6870 would be decent GPUs at your budget. Just get whichever you can afford. You can save some cash and get the i5 2500k instead of the 3570k.

How is $95 for a Tx750 V2 not worth it?

Only one of those PSUs sucks. The Rosewill Green series is solid mate.

While I generally don't pay much attention to customer reviews, some people are saying they have quite a bit of issues with OCZ PSUs. I don't trust 'em (OCZ). Rule of thumb: never cheap out on the PSU.

Meh, I was tired at the time. For

OCZ's PSUs have been solid lately, I don't know what reviews you've read but all of them have been getting solid marks. Not talking about Newegg reviewers. I'm talking about website reviews that actually know what they are talking about.
