Advice on overclocking

For a while now I've been thinking to overclock my CPU and GPU.
I have Amd fx 8350 and Nvidia zotac gtx 750ti.
I don't know how to approach it. I've tried overclocking my GPU using afterburner and followed a few instructions online. But as soon as i increase my temp. limit and start the stress test using kombustor my GPU temp increases to the max.

Do you want to OC processor too ? What cooling and which MB do you have ?
