Hello all.

I have been asking about my sons fx 6300 computer and the stuttering it gets on oculus rift. I have read many articles and mostly says the cpu is either bottlenecking the 1060 or the cpus single thread sucks. So i am thinking of getting him a ryzen combo and build him a ryzen pc.

I already have the 1060, the Hdd's, 16gb ddr 4 and a corsair 650 watt ps.

All i need is a reasonable combo. But need to stay within at least 250-280 dollars. I also want to make sure it does not bottleneck the 1060 and that VR will run flawlessly or at least great.

Found this one:

I have also been reading about wifi having issues on ryzen? That is what he uses now a wireless adapter.

thank you.

well nvrmnd. with further googling, youtubing etc. I went with the ryzen 5 2600 and the msi performance gaming amd x470. I would still like to know what yall think? thx

Well done!

Ryzen 5 2600 + mobo X470 is perfect for a GTX 1060.
In fact if you do not intend to put two GPUs you can easily choose a B450.

(B350 NO because it need a bios update for suppurting a Ryzen 2600).
(Ryzen 5 1600x is very similar to 2600 but 1600x does not include a cooler!)

Enjoy it!
