Advise for pc upgrade

Hi. I am planning to upgrade my pc cpu+mobo+ram (i5 8400+asus h370 tuf gaming+1xDDR48gb ram). Is it OK? I really hope that someone can give me some advice, thank you.
My current pc
Mobo :asus p8z77-v lx2
CPU:I5 3470
Gpu:nitro r9 380
Psu:fsp hyper m85+ 650w
Ram😀DR3 4gb x2

Well in terms of gaming you won't notice much of an improvement with the r9 380 as your gpu-I doubt you are cpu bound in games so the 8400 won't make much of a difference (expect in really cpu intensive games). I would recommend investing in dual channel memory as it can make a significant difference in system performance.

OK thanks for ur advice. the reason I wanna chg cpu and mobo is because my current one already 5years +, I am worried that it will be gone soon.

Either way a system with an i5 8400 will provide a good foundation for years to come. I haven't really looked into the 9th gen intel processors so I can't comment on them but you could always have a look at Ryzen combos unless you are opposed to amd products.
