Aero Not working? Please help

for some reason when i turn on my computer it has no aero transparency the buttons look like crap, so i decided to try to enable it through personalization menu the option was not there.

decided to stop and then start the desktop windows management service, aero would flicker showing me the aero affect and evrything being fixed but then when i move a windows or even scroll it goes back to basic.

please help,

Something is very strange for sure. Your system should laugh at the requirements for Aero.

Best guess would be to try disabling software one at a time to see if something on startup causes it. I know PowerDVD for example can shut it off.

im mind boggled and seriously need help before i start to reformat my comuter which i dont want to do, this is what i know

nothing helps it,
THE ONLY FIX(temporary) is to restart the computer NOT SHUT DOWN AND TURN BACK ON!!

so after every time of turning it off i would have to right after restart.......

anyway to fix this????? i asked the guy who built it he said it had to be the drivers because i was using beta drivers well i switched to an extremely old version 12.6, didnt help at all still same thing happening!!!!!

Please i really need some help!

I am out of ideas aside of trying to disable programs that start with the system in case one is the cause of the issue.

Beta drivers have NEVER broke the areo feature on any hardware that I can remember.

ok guys HUGE update:

- affects performance overall/ mostly in games by a significant amount!
- flash player is crappy
- to temporarily fix = click restart on the computer (DO NOT TURN OFF THE COMPUTER)
after restarting everything will work....... until the whole thing shuts down again then boots
- im not able to go into sleep mode, because once i try to wake the computer the fans start to spin and the green led stops flashing and stays on but the monitor doesnt refresh.....
- just realized this is all because of service pack 1..... i have almost no updates from windows installed except maybe 3 including service pack 1 which in the previas installation i did not have.........
- tried removing service pack 1 doesnt fix anything but i know tha this all started because of sp1.....
-im going to try to fully update my system......


if none of this works the only fix i will be able to use is to get the computer to go to sleep mode instead of shutting down which i dont mind doing but since when i try going to sleep mode the computer fans start spinning but nothing turns(on the monitor)

so technically i have two problems now but i would mainly want to focus on the sleeping thing since most people are suggesting to do a windows restart.......
