Aerocool Rave 800w PSU?

Hi All,

Recently just purchased a case from my local part store. Case said no PSU included however when I opened it I found a 800W Aerocool Rave PSU inside. It's has a much higher capacity than I needed, looking at less than 500W for my whole build. So I began searching online to get a grasp on its quality. Here's the problem: I can't find anything that is informative enough on whether it will last me for the foreseeable future. Because I am using almost half it's capacity, Will the PSU last for a few years?

Well....I think that...being you can't find much information....it's probably a low quality PSU.....and being it's "rated" at 800 watts....it's probably safe for a "real" 600w build.

BUT.....being it's probably a crap PSU....do you really want to trust it with your components?

Agreed, seeing on how there's little to no info its probably a junk PSU. I would yank it regardless if its enough power and put in either a budget Corsair CX550/CX550M or soemthing higher like a EVGAG G3 or Seasonic Focus 550.
