I replaced my old 4tb HDD because it was making this weird clicking-whirring sound very frequently, so I suspected failure. The new one would make the noise every shutdown, but I figured it was probably normal.

Earlier I made the mistake of bumping my PC case, and it started freaking out making the sound a bunch, before eventually settling. Worried now because I literally just bought it a few weeks ago and already regretting not just getting another SSD. The sound is the same one in this video:

CrystalDiskInfo doesn't show any errors, so should I worry? It's not my main drive thankfully, just use it for games. My OS and important stuff is kept on a 500gb SSD.

It's a Seagate Barracuda.

I'd leave it as is. You also state that it doesn't hold anything of importance to you though to clarify, yes you should've gone with an SSD for your game library instead of an HDD.

SSD's aren't great for holding mission critical data. HDD's are better suited for that. I'd advise on backing up any data that's important onto a removable drive(pen drive or external HDD).

You think it could last a few years still? Or cooked? Yeah it's not important data, but damn less then a month and I'm already worried about a failing drive lol. Doesn't help I can't afford a replacement right now

Edit: And ah, probably should clarify. I also keep backups of VERY important stuff on a thumbdrive just in case.
