After custom computer build, I'm getting all kinds of Errors installing Windows.

Hello all,

I just finished my custom computer build about 7 hours ago. When I boot into the bios everything seems fine the fans, cpu temp, ram registers and the storage and optical drive are shown however after attempting to Install Windows 8.1 64-bit from CD, it completes the installation and then reboots and I get the following error.

The digital signature for this file couldn't be verified.
0xc0000428
After this error all goes to hell and I get barrage of errors when i press enter to try again...

The operatign system couldn't be loaded because a requested file is missing or corrupt.
File: NDIS.SYS
Error: 0xc0000221

The operating system couldn't be loaded because critical system driver is missing or contains errors.
File: \windows\System32\drivers\qlfcoei.sys

I've tried 2 different hard drives. Both recognize fine when I connect them to my other computer. I tried making the drives GFT. I've also tried the 32-bit version of windows 8.1 from CD. I have not overlocked this CPU.

OS: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro - Full Version CDs (32 & 64-bit)

I'm so frustrated and desperate for help. This is just so crushing that after I finally get everything together I can't get Windows to install 🙁. I would absolutely be grateful for any help provided. Thank you so much. If you need any pictures I can provide them.

I purchased the Windows from Amazon.com directly sold and shipped from them.

I will go try this now. Hopefully it will let me to that screen to select cmd.

I can't seem to get to the option for CMD. I have before but now I'm just getting a sign with
Your PC needs to be repaired

Then gives me the kernal error and then my only option are

Press Enter to try again.
Press F8 to Startup Settings. (Not seeing a way to CMD through these options)
Press Esc for UEFI firmware settings.

I should note that it did start to say getting devices ready which it hasn't before but then after it blue screened and restarted.

In the bios under boot options should these be in a certain order. I have 3 options one is for the Windows Boot the other is the optical drive and the other seems to be the actual hard drive

It has them listed like this

Boot Option 1: Windows Boot Manager
Boot Option 2: Hard drive
Boot Option 3: Optical Drive

Also when it blue screened I got.
system_thread_exception_not_handled
and
page_fault_in_nonpaged_area
and
system_service_exception

Did I get a bad windows 8.1 discs?.

or

Maybe my computer isn't restarting correctly to finish the install?. It doesn't seem to fully shutdown when it restarts. I've never had an advance Motherboard and CPU or anything like this computer has so its hard for me to pin down the problem.

Ok lets try this from scratch.

-Format your SSD (connect it to another pc and format it).
-Connect only SSD to your new pc (no other storage device should be connected)
- Insert your windows OS disc and boot it

Hi, thanks for your reply. I formatted my ssd on other computer, but after the screen does the loading animation I'm stuck at this dreaded screen which gives me an error code and details a lot seem to be driver related.

After installing the OS or before?Can you describe the error if possible?

It's a blue screen that says recovery. Your computer needs to be repaired and then lists the error and error code and the following options.r

Press Enter to try again
Press F8 for startup settings.
Press etc for uefi firmware settings

This happens before install.

i installed from usb stick. it basically installed fine after i replaced the ram.
all windows versions normally copy from source(disc or usb stick) to system ram..if u have bad ram then the install will show up as corrupt even if the source of the installer is legit. even if the ram is brand new, it may have 1 or more bad sticks of ram. i suggest grab a usb stick, go download rufus app to format the usb into usable form(u might not need it) and get memtest86 v5.01 or better. theres a version for boot from usb stick, then config the bios on your new build to boot from usb first, it will run tests on your ram. if u see red, it's bad.

btw, u can use rufus to make a bootable usb of windows if u want..just dl the most recent version that is legit copy from one of the ms source sites for it. or use the windows downloader tool..it will make sure the digitial copy is legit before even formatting the usb install stick for you.

when i had problems, i first test it as a set, when i first saw red, i shut down then switched the testing to 1 stick at a time
each of them had red ...lots of red per stick. i then ordered a set of 16gig of ram(4x4gig) but first i checked the forums for the motherboard to see which is the most compatible...oddly enough my bad set was(corsair 8x8gig, 64gig quad channel). i decided to order g.skill but i found out they had a limited allowance on my msi motherboard..could only get ones with 9-9-9-24 timing(1600 type) to actually get it to work. i ordered it anyway. tested on the msi motherboard and all checked out. then i went and installed 8.1...it went flawlessly. i'd be on it right now if i didn't have to clean my pc room out..just fixed the lights earlier tonight.

So, I'm flipping through my motherboard manual and noticed the DDR4 2666 MHz Capability and highest size i'm seeing is 32GB supported. Could it be I have to much RAM then is allowed. Should i try just 4x?.

CMD32GX4M4A2666C15 which is the memory I bought says its supported I purchased x2 of 32GB.

EDIT: Also the DIMM Socket Support (Optional) that says 8 doesn't have a dot next to it where as 2 and 4 do.
