I can't find where the battery is at. Checked the mobo manual, it does have the battery position indicated either.can you take the battery out completely?
leave it out for a few minutes and then put back in, should reset bios
unplug PC before doing it.
Thanks. I was able to find and took out the battery. unfortunately it didn't do anything and after i put back all the cables and try to power on it only produced this small click sound. Not sure if the sound is coming from the board or the psu thopage 17 shows overlay of motherboard. The battery is in between 1st & 2nd PCIe slot

page 38 of manualUpdating BIOS with Flash BIOS Button
1. Please download the latest BIOS file that matches your motherboard model from
the MSI® website.
2. Rename the BIOS file to MSI.ROM, and save it to the root of the USB storage
device.
3. Connect the power supply to CPU_PWR1 and ATX_PWR1. (No need to install CPU
and memory.)
4. Plug the USB storage device that contains the MSI.ROM file into the Flash BIOS
Port on the rear I/O panel.
5. Press the Flash BIOS Button to flash BIOS, and the LED starts flashing.
6. The LED will be turned off when the process is completed.
Thank you! I'll for sure try flashing bios in the morning. It's getting too late don't wanna disturb my roommates haha. I'll keep u posted! Thanks again for helping! That should have reset all the values. Strange.

you can do that with only the PSU attached.
I don't like messing with bios, things can go badly but well, it doesn't seem to be working now anyway.
