My pc spec
I7 13700k
Msi z690 edge wifi ddr4
Asus rog 4070ti

So after I copied this guy's guide of undervolting, my system shutdown and won't turn back on anymore. I bridged the jbat1 trying to reset the cmos but it didn't work

can you take the battery out completely?
leave it out for a few minutes and then put back in, should reset bios
unplug PC before doing it.
I can't find where the battery is at. Checked the mobo manual, it does have the battery position indicated either.

page 17 shows overlay of motherboard. The battery is in between 1st & 2nd PCIe slot

its probably under your GPU or really close to its front edge
the Premium PCB Arrow almost pointing right at it here

the round thing is the battery.

Thanks. I was able to find and took out the battery. unfortunately it didn't do anything and after i put back all the cables and try to power on it only produced this small click sound. Not sure if the sound is coming from the board or the psu tho

That should have reset all the values. Strange.

Were you on latest bios?

I wonder if flashing a new bios on would fix it
Updating BIOS with Flash BIOS Button
1. Please download the latest BIOS file that matches your motherboard model from
the MSI® website.
2. Rename the BIOS file to MSI.ROM, and save it to the root of the USB storage
device.
3. Connect the power supply to CPU_PWR1 and ATX_PWR1. (No need to install CPU
and memory.)
4. Plug the USB storage device that contains the MSI.ROM file into the Flash BIOS
Port on the rear I/O panel.
5. Press the Flash BIOS Button to flash BIOS, and the LED starts flashing.
6. The LED will be turned off when the process is completed.
page 38 of manual
you can do that with only the PSU attached.

I don't like messing with bios, things can go badly but well, it doesn't seem to be working now anyway.

Following guides on the internet can end badly. I know that myself

Thank you! I'll for sure try flashing bios in the morning. It's getting too late don't wanna disturb my roommates haha. I'll keep u posted! Thanks again for helping!

I'm sure battery remove method don't work on some modern mb even after you remove it in 1 day or year, the bios setting still here. only use metal like ballpoint pen nib or metal stick to shorten the cmos pin and all bios data can clear. cmos now is for date and time, not bios data
