I think my GPU was damaged. Because my pc does not boot and after a while it shows my monitor is going to sleep. But how can I check my mainboard is okay or not? after damaged my GPU.

Solution
As long as your motherboard has a PCI-e 2.0 or 3.0 (your's will be 2.0) 16x slot it will fit all modern graphics cards.

So as long as you have no problems with your motherboard you'll be fine 😉 heck my old PC has a 10 year old one in it.
What you have to worry about more is if you get a new GPU if you play games will your CPU keep up.
If your PC boots then you're motherboard is good :)

-good luck
What cpu do you have?

depending what cpu you have you can run your display off your integrated graphics, simply take your GPU out and plug your monitors input into your motherboard.
If not you can also test the GPU in a friends PC or at a PC store.

My cpu is core 2 duo 2.93 and when I connect my monitor on onboard vga port then it seems okay and I check my GPU in my friends PC. It appears that my GPU was damaged. But my question is after damaging my GPU does it also causes my motherboard damage? Though it seems my motherboard is okay but it is nearly 4 years old, so I want to buy a new GPU. But I am not sure about my motherboard. Will I change it too?? So, if I sure my motherboard is okay, then I will not change it.
So, how can I check my motherboard ?
