motherboard: ASUS B85M-G
OS: win10 pro 64 bit ver: 1909
currently have a 1x8gb ddr3 ram 1800mhz installed in 4th slot DIMM
I bought a 1x8gb ddr3 ram 1600mhz, then I insert it in 2nd slot DIMM and turn on my pc and go to BIOS, the system detect the 1x8gb ram on 2nd DIMM, however when booting to windows 10 I get a blue screen that say "Your PC ran into a problem and need restart . We restart for you." then it will automatically reboot again and again(looping).
When I remove the new ram it works fine but the bios can detect the new ram when install on 2nd slot DIMM, so I try removing old 1x8gb ddr3 ram from 4th slot DIMM then insert the new ram on 4th slot the issue start to occur it will boot the blue screen of death then restart by itself again, does this mean the new ram that I bought is defective or do I need to adjust some configuration on my BIOS settings?
