After resetting my PC, GPU driver is already installed

So I completely reset my PC, and upon downloading geforce experience it tells me that I already have the latest driver installed. How is this possible?

The reset option within windows? If so that is not a clean install of the OS. If this is a pre built machine or a laptop or something it will reinstall every piece of software the computer ships with, including GPU drivers.

Windows 10 automatically installs drivers. Sometimes these are the most recent ones available (not always).

It will automatically install a generic VGA driver. It should not install a nvidia driver on a clean install, I have never seen that happen. Did a clean win 10 install on my system a few months ago with a GTX 1060 installed, windows did not automatically install the nvidia driver.

It doesn't always install the drivers but most of the time it does.
