I believe Asus has a feature in "Tools" to allow you save multiple BIOS settings for different OCing set ups. Even though you aren't OCing for now, you might want to see if saving your settings in one of those choices works. You may have a very real problem that will require Asus's help. I called them years ago and found the guy was quite helpful. We eventually verified that I did have a defective board and he facilitated a quick exchange with Amazon. I had a new one in 2 days, even before the old one was back!
The only other thing you could try is re-installing the BIOS or install a newer version if available. It is very easy with Asus boards. Simply download the newest BIOS to a USB stick and unzip it. ReStart and go to "tools", EZ BIOS (2?). You will see the file, choose it, follow the simple instructions and then it restarts to allow you to set the BIOS up and you should be good. If you do this and it still jumps to the BIOS first, then I would call Asus!
