Guys I really need some help here!
Today I thought I would go ahead and create a 64gb partition on my main drive for windows 10. This has worked fine before on my netbook and runs nicely.

Using partition wizard, I initially wanted a 32gb partition, but then grew the main partition again and instead went for 64gb. The issue here is that I didn't realise partition wizard would shrink by 32gb, Then grow the drive, then shrink by 64gb, then sort out the new partition, making 2 steps into 4. It was to late to stop the process when I realised.

So here's the deal, the partition didn't seem to work. Partition wizard shrunk the main volume, but upon the second step (regrowing the main partition) it failed and crashed. After this the action of booting results in a black screen with white cursor. Having left system repair running for 2 hours while out, I've come back to find that it has not done anything. I may mention I get no drive activity on the black screen as well.

Since nothing I've tried has worked, I'm asking for any ideas for fixes! Thanks

Crashing when resizing partitions rarely recovers well.

I know what I'd do in this situation - simply a full wipe and reinstall.

But you might want to try the EaseUS Partition Recovery tool
http://www.easeus.com/partition-recovery/

Or possibly this thing: http://www.partition-recovery.com/

Are we to understand that your Windows 7 partition does not boot now? How big is your drive? Have you tried to recover Windows 7? I would suggest that you use your Windows disk and say you want to load Windows 7 on your computer. When it starts the process it should see your partition with Windows 7 and say there is a problem and ask if you want to fix the problem. Say yes and let it fix the boot record.
