I have ecentlyt started using afterburner to squeeze extra performance out of my gt 740, but every time i restart my computer the overclock settings arent there according to gpu-z

also im on windows 8 as a standard user because my dad wanted parental controls on the internet

Solution
There is a very little dot that you are supposed to click on for "Apply at Startup". This is located under the left hand dial for the new skins.

On the older/classic skin, it says "Apply overclocking at system startup". This little dot is located in the lower left hand corner under the Profiles.

You may need to download Kombustor separately:
http://gaming.msi.com/features/afterburner

As far as i can tell there is no windows button, and also I can't start Kombuster

Thanks, but i have that ticked and it still doesnt apply at startup

For some reason, even though i have the "start with windows" box ticked it doesnt even start withh windows

I would start over with a re-install of the latest version.

Alright ill do that

Are you overclocking, testing, then saving the setting as a profile? Click 'save', then click on the number you want to assign to the profile. Then click on Apply at startup.

Not sure where else to go from there. Is it possible your card is not supported by Afterburner? Are you using another overclocking application, so that two are running and overriding each other?

Yes my card is supported by afterburner, its an MSI card and it becomes overclocked when i have after burner open. I also saved the profile, and no i'm not using 2 applications
