This is probably a dumb question, but here goes. My motherboard is fairly old, Abit KT7A, and I was looking for a new video card since mine isnt supported by windows XP (rage fury maxx). I was reading the system requirements for the GeForce 5200 128 MB 8x AGP and it listed AGP 2.0 compliance. Apparently my board has an AGP 2.0 slot supporting 2x/4x AGP...will this video card still work correctly since its 8x AGP? I know it wont take advantage of 8x AGP, but will it still run using 4x AGP?

Just a sidenote taken from the motherboard manual:
"AGP connector supports AGP 2x (3.3V) and 4x (1.5V) mode (sideband) device."

Im not sure if that helps or not, just thought I'd throw it in.

thank you for your time,
Bob

Of course it will work. It will work just as well, with just as much performance (or as little, depending on what other card you compare it to) at AGP4x as AGP8x.

And make sure to check your power supply, and get a higher one (at least 350watts) will do.
