AGP Aperature size - what does it do?

I didn't mean to "catch" you, I just never understood the need for any AGP Aperature on GFX-cards having from 128MB and up :)
Since no game I know of uses that much GFX-RAM? :)

Actually I only have one 128MB card...and no time to test various settings exhaustively right now, so do me a favor: Test 3D-Mark 2001 on YOUR system with the following AGP Aperture settings: 32MB, 64MB, 128MB, and 256MB, and report your findings!

I can verify that it does affect the results slightly (right now I can't remember how much). The results did make me decide to stick with 128mb for myself (instead of 64 and 256).

If need be I can run some tests this weekend while I do the other benchies, no worries, I'll be doing some anyways. I did post some FW ones before because I had that FW problem, so why not some AGP APP ones?

I have seen a few benchies in reviews, but it's been so long and such a minor thing, that I don't remember which ones they were a part of.
