AHCI bios invisible

Hi all,
I switched to ahci mode and whenever my pc starts it prints "ahci bios installed !". Problem is I cannot load the bios at all! (and therefore I can't boot from CD since the hard disk is selected on top of the boot devices) what to do ? Thanks

Did you go into BIOS and cange the drive from IDE to AHCI then save, exit. If so you should be able to put the windows disc in and reboot then format and reload windows.

If your still having problems reset CMOS should change it back.

It seems that the hard drive is set as the boot device so it doesn't look at the CD.
How to reset CMOS if I can't get into the bios?
