The OCZ you listed earlier is a good option. If it was available, then I would say some OCZ Value VX (model # OCZ4001024WV3DC-K) to save a few dollars - especially with your mobo. For a few dollar more I would take a look at <A HREF="http://www.anitec.ca/?mode=product_detail&pid=2054&mcid=11" target="_new">this</A>. I'm almost certain that it is the Value BH5 memory (read the <A HREF="http://anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2392" target="_new">Anandtech Value Memory roundup</A>).

Thought I had changed the link before I posted. <A HREF="http://www.anitec.ca/?mode=product_detail&pid=2056&mcid=11" target="_new">Here</A> is the right link.

Even <A HREF="http://www.anitec.ca/?mode=product_detail&pid=3253" target="_new">these</A> would work though for a mild OC and would save you some cash. I have used them in a rig that I built, I didn't find anything wrong with them before I turned it over. I never OCed it, but I have heard good things about these sticks... you could give them a try, but the OCZ is a sure thing.

Sure thing is better - especially with a first time OCer.

Save $100 or more on either of these cards:
<A HREF="http://www.anitec.ca/?mode=product_detail&pid=3163&mcid=24" target="_new">Sapphire X800XL</A>
<A HREF="http://www.anitec.ca/?mode=product_detail&pid=3672&mcid=24" target="_new">Sapphire X800 Pro</A>

The X800Pro should OC to X800XT performance levels. The X800XL has comparable stock performance to the 6800GT for $100 less, but the X800XLs usually do not reach as high OCs.

Id go with the VX out of this bucnh.top ocing ram thought
Id suggest Crucial Ballistix, not so expensive and really good. Good OCer too.

Asus P4P800DX, P4C 2.6ghz@3.25ghz, 2X512 OCZ PC4000 3-4-4-8, MSI 6800Ultra stock, 2X30gig Raid0

The issue was the location he was buying from. Both of your recommendations would be at the top of my list, too, but were not carried at that store.
