Hey, I bought my PC a week ago and I noticed that there is a noise that is going up and down like an airplane or something like that ... even with my headset (hyper x cloud 2 I) I can still hear it .... and I am not sure if it's normal

the aio is iCUE H150i ELITE LCD XT and I paired it with 9750x
  1. it makes this sound sometimes only when I shut it and turn it on again. link - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BsO3cqOZxuH2gXj9jaaL1GPWSpp31vZ6/view?usp=sharing
  2. And this sound is like an airplane or something, its going up and down (You can hear it with a headset on) try to ignore the fan noises. link - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1s6xvW3eBNMGMHbHX3mqtcFsTzURU09Db/view?usp=sharing
  3. another sound near the pump https://drive.google.com/file/d/187p6X-NahSuRv2Qp8ZnRhd-v9mTS9VFg/view
Is that normal or should I RMA it ?

none of those sounds are normal. I would be tempted to rma it

It could be software though...

Icue being a pain this week but I doubt it would cause al of those noises.
Icue so bad I am replacing my AIO with a non Corsair one. Shipping tomorrow.
But that one sounds like hardware...

I have been hearing odd noises myself this week. lots of clunking noises at startup but I don't have a mechanical boot drive. I guess it has to be the pump.

There was nothing wrong with my hardware until I got latest update.

Icue crashes more often than not on start up now... really good time for AIO software to decide to have a break. I have to run fans on a default curve or it tends to restart icue every few minutes.

the latest version of Icue released last week is a mess. 5.8.130.

what speed do you have pump set to? mine defaults to balanced. (H100i)

Hey, thank you
I am not sure if it is because icue but I set everything to quite

https://prnt.sc/zsVti_IxM3KZ this is the stats of it

variable speed plan is a new one.

Balanced tries to keep Cooler liquid temps below 35c which its not likely to achieve on your CPU. Mine struggles and with only Two fans its is really loud. It also doesn't help the default ones work of liquid temps, not what CPU is actually doing.

Sure, makes it less a lot less reactionary but if CPU is running at 80c, it does help if the fans respond in some manner. I used to run in quiet on my 3600xt but when I swapped to a 5800x3d it was thought a good idea to work off package.

You probably need to make your own curve as neither really suits your CPU. Based on package temp of your CPU, not liquid temps of AIO.

I had one like this before Icue started to ignore custom curves. I wouldn't call it perfect but it worked fine for a few weeks. I wouldn't call myself an expert on fan curves. I have messed them up before. Its a learning process

I am running quiet myself now only as balanced was making fans too loud, and its not that hot outside here now, I don't need to fight temps. And my replacement AIO is in the mail :)

Its possible the values in the plans have changed, I am unsure if they show the same for everyone but if they don't. balanced is trying to achieve the impossible on your PC. It wants to keep water temps to these temps:

Balanced curve
TAl3HxX.jpg

when yours probably always runs over those.
(You can see the curves of the default ones by clicking the + to make own profile, then the curves show as choices where they show in my photo above. Extreme really is extreme... do you like noise? thats how you get noise.)

Hopefully Corsair release a fixed version soon. If its effecting all their AIO they need to.

Hey, Thank you so much, I will test it out and see if it changes something

The CPU currently is on 49c
https://prnt.sc/ifVC2OIn2-wc - this is the curve and stats from the aio
you can see that the fans are around 1300 +- RPM and I can't really hear them
I only hear this high-pitched noise (even with headset)
with quiet I almost can't hear it

40c is a reasonable max I guess for the liquid, good to see its changed a little in a few years. 35c would be improbable on that CPU.

I assume you mean a 7950X - it seems That CPU should run at 40-55c at idle on cores and the package is likely 10c or so over that.
what are you using to get CPU temps?
Are you looking at core temps or package temps? There will be a difference

those CPU run hot from what I can see. I saw a few people undervolting them to fight it.

The temps are fine
the cpu on idle is around 60 - 70 https://prnt.sc/srESl_NTw-tu
with power saving limit to 3ghz its on 49 - 50
the temps I think is ok but the noises is whats annoying me
I will RMA it

Are all your fans running off the same fan header? I assume they on the hub. Can you control their speeds? I just wonder if the noise you are hearing is caused by all the fans running at same speed. Especially since it went away a little bit when you slowed fans down

I get a noise if I let my 3 case fans run at full speed. But I have set them so the rear is never same speed as top two.

Can you show a photo of your system with side panel removed?
(upload to imgur.com and post link)

I'd suspect AIO is installed improperly.
Pump can not be in highest point of the loop. If you ignore this requirement, then air bubbles accumulate in pump.
This impedes liquid flow and will eventually kill the pump.

I think they are on the same hub I bought it from the store so I am not really sure how they did it

I tried setting 2 fans to quiet and one to balance
and it went away a bit but you can still hear it but its much less

well, positioning isn't cause. pump is in CPU block, radiator is all above it. That is fine.

having fans all at same speed can cause a resonance effect. Its what I get if I run my 3 noctuas at same speed. you might need to make some curves up and try to keep fans are differing speeds.
I believe they run the AIO ones at slightly different speeds to one another to stop it happening to them. Same with GPU fans.

How many fans you have in that case? what is fan layout? what case is it anyway?
what are intakes and exhausts? You might not know that one if you didn't make it.

rgb kaleidoscope color scheme. I just used solid colors on mine... mostly

, i have an H9 flow case
I have 10 fans in total
3 on the bottom are exhausts, 3 on the side intake, 1 on the back exhaust, and the 3 on top (the aio fans) exhausts

I had my old pc and I never heard this noise before it had 7 fans
I set the Asus program all too quiet and on the icue to balance and it still does it

a bit too much on the rgb side

i saw the reflection on the right and thought you had 3 more on front

so its negative pressure for sure with only 3 in and 7 out, makes me think its overkill. Not a fun case to be around in summer as any heat it produces gets dumped into room. I know that feeling.
Doesn't the GPU exhaust up? so the 3 fans below may not helping a lot.

have you tried listening down a rolled up piece of paper to isolate sound? curious where in case you can hear it.

My mistake the 3 on the bottom are intake as well

I haven't tried with a piece of paper but when I opened the case
I heard this sound https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BsO3cqOZxuH2gXj9jaaL1GPWSpp31vZ6/view?usp=sharing and the up and down sound coming from the aio

and from the pump I can hear the second sound

I just checked again they did this layout

that sounds like a fan rubbing against something

you might want to post on the Corsair forums and see what they think - https://forum.corsair.com/forums/

so bottom fans are intake and everything else is exhaust? guess it works but I wonder how much of the air drawn in by front intake gets exhausted by the side fans. It should stay cool, thats for sure.

have you asked the people who made pc about problem?

I contacted Corsair Live support and they told me to RMA it

and the PC store that I bought from told me that it is normal ... I can't really accept its as normal because even with a headset I can hear it and after a bit of time I am starting to get a headache from it

but then I told them again and that corsair told me to RMA it and they told me to ship it to them and they will change it

Disconnect all fans and try to reproduce the sound.
If sound doesn't happen, then one or more fans are causing it.

Reconnect fans until you find offending ones.
I don't know much about pc builds and stuff like that so I prefer to let the store that I bought from do that
but thank you I will let them know as well to do this
