Anyone every have an AIO pump fail randomly and then start working again? The other day I was playing Metro Exodus. I was about an hour and a half into the game, when my CPU temp started to rise and it kept rising. It went from 50c and climbed above 100. I started to close down the game when my system powered itself down. I then rebooted into Bios and temps were fine. Booted into windows and temps were fine. I feel like it was a pump failure because all my fans were still working and they ramped up to try to cool the CPU. I went back into the game and played for another 45 minutes and nothing happened.

Its an Enermax Liqmax III 360

i had looked at those when they were on sale earlier this year and found some terrible reviews.

they have a common issue with the plate and other metals corroding over short periods of time,
lots of users complaining about fans dying,
others complaining about the RGB lights failing.

your problem could be less severe. some lower quality AiO coolers often have issues with bubbles or clogged tubing causing them to temporarily work less efficiently. usually all it takes to fix is to restart, wiggle the cables some, or knock on the head or pump.

if still in the time frame, i would actually request a refund from the retailer. for the ~$100 they usually cost, you can find something much better.

I bought this back in December so I would probably have to do an RMA. Would you RMA right away or wait to see if it happens at least one more time?.

if you press one of the tube from pump when temp goes high does it lower the temp if the answer is yes return pump for defect .

I tried what you recommended but there was no change in temperature.

if no chance of a refund;
considering the problems that have occurred with a lot of users of this cooler, i would attempt to sell it while it is still in decent enough shape.

some of the images users had posted of the corroded materials were very shocking.
maybe try searching Google images or youtube for updated pics/vids of what happens with a lot of these.

I found little info to do with the Liquimax III. There is plenty of negative stuff out there for the TR4 model and Liquimax I and Liquimax II. So I guess it is safe to assume nothing has changed for the Liquimax III. Well I took a gamble on this one. Its currently working fine, but I will be in the market for a DH-15 or higher quality AOI. Thank you for your help.
