Air vs water cooling for the following build:
*ARC 647 Gaming Case
*Intel Core I5 4670k
*NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 4gb
*750 Watt - Corsair CX750

Water cooling seems like a lot of work, i would prefer air cooling, but if water cooling is really worth it for this built ill be ok, i juste need a guide on how to handle water cooling

ok, thanks :) i found the super night rgb lighting, probably gonna use that

oh lord yes, you will be very disappointed with a system from ibuypower, build 2 identical systems for the price they charge for one..

there are many pro's to liquid cooling and only 1 con, it's very much worth it and you are mistaken about their complexity, that was true in the past but manufacturers have worked hard to alleviate those problems, liquid cooling is a guaranteed cure for high core temps whereas selecting as heat sink is always hit n miss and you don't need a dual fan unit like the H100 when the H80i or even the H60 will suffice nicely.

I have to say I was exactly like you when i built my PC which has equivalent parts to yours, i realised that it isn't really worth overclocking unless you want the status or the horsepower for things like winzip but otherwise go for air and don't go for the expensive stuff look at the reviews and prices and compare and find the best bang for buck.

for LED lighting I'm getting one of these:

They're just long enough for the diameter for my case(Corsair 600T) and with a brightness controller and On/Off switch it seems nice plus it goes into one of the expansion slots all snug.

On your question about liquid cooling vs air, I'd suggest air unless your buying something like a h100i which only cool the CPU.
Water cooling loops can become a hassle to setup, having to bleed, test it, get all the bubbles out and having to worry whether you cut the cables right or even if your actually cooling the system. Not to mention if you want to interchange your components you'd have to bleed out all the liquid, make sure everything is dry. Find the water block for that component and hook it all up again. Quite a struggle for newbies.

Air cooling on the other-hand is simple, buy the fan, plop it in your case, hook it up and done. The only main concern is finding out wether you want positive or negative pressure in your case but you honestly wouldn't have to worry about that. Not to mention there's no worry of anything leaking and such. If you get a nifty fan controller its even better.
Noctua makes some great fans for cooling. People use it to cool radiators, replace after market cpu cooler fans and obviously cool their system. Im sorry I was wrong the actual main concern is dust, but that can be solved with a simple dust filter.

My build is around your budget you should take a look at it. Maybe you'll want it: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/21kEK
I havent chose the SSD and memory as im still deciding. The CPU is from my old dell computer and I see no need to replace it.
btw that case doesn't need anymore fans than what it comes with as it cools great but could be an addition

Massive heat-sink being the keyword, that's one of the main reasons i prefer Liquid over Air..

Change that GTX 760 for the MSI Hawk edition, best 760 out there.

And the PSU aswell for a HX750W its currently for 89.99 on newegg and its 80 plus gold compared to the one you have which is 80 plus bronze.

If you want should add in an SSD to have quick starts ups and fast load times on your most used games

agreed, they sell computers through walmart and other places but they never list the important specs, just general info and if you knew what was there you would realize it is junk for the money they charge..

Hi there! 😀 your build sounds really exciting, i am doing exactly the same as you and building a rig myself hopefully around christmas time, i originally decided to use the western digital blue edition but you can do better, for a little bit extra you should get the black edition, it performs much better than the standard blue, im not sure if your budget will stretch far enough, but i would really recommend getting an SSD,they are rather pricey but the performance is worth every penny trust me, you could put you operating system and a few games on it. Have a look at the samsung 840 evo 120gb, hope this helps somehow 😀 Im in the exact same dilemma as you! Not sure what cpu cooling system to get, but as i said have a look at the two hard drives. 😀

Heey, I actually ordered my components Saturday! I'm very happy with my components choice and my timing was best, right between Black Friday and Cyber Monday some really great deals! Here's my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2c15b
Btw I got the case and monitor today, I fell in love with the case the design is gorgeous just the small details like the cover of the reset switch make it stand out, it's all metal, plus you can mount up to 10 fans in there maybe even 11 if you could try, good for water/liquid cooling too. The monitor, well I don't have anything say bout it yet since I'm getting all my components and it's gonna be a little new year gift, and I'm not gonna open my gifts early 😛, all I can say is that even by the box it's quite a change from an $800 2560x1440 27" iMac monitor XD
