Black screen after windows start up. Woke up this moring opened my book and started the computer and then it happened. Has the logo and moves but no sound. (not even sure if its off mute or not) has the mouse in view and can move it. It was connected to an external monitot when this happened. Safe mode dose not work. New solid state hard drive was put in like 2-3 weeks ago. Tried takeing battery out and power for 30 seconds, battery test...Battery is good. help please, iam out of ideas...............

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First, press the :"fn+F1" key on your keyboard and see if you'll get the display back.
- Next is to connect an external monitor again and see if it will display normal on it. If the display is normal on the external display press the Windows key + P at the same time and select Computer Only.
- If it will still not work with the external monitor, press CTRL+ATL+DEL at the same time then select Task Manager. Once open, click on File then New Task and type in explorer.exe.
- If all these steps will not work since Safe Mode is not working either I would suggest reinstalling Windows.
