Alienware 17 r3 (2016) bug?

Hi, i just bought this new alienware pc wich im really happy with. i just havfe this problem that every single game i play is stuck on 60 fps. i have both 970m and some other grapich card. it dosent help to only use the 970. And when i have over 60 fps it seems like the computer force it down to 60.

Thats called VSync, and its a normal function. You can go into your display options and turn it off and that will allow it to run at whatever FPS it can, with the downside of sometimes experiencing screen tearing.

i know that some games have vsync in their options, but it seems like its some program on tha alienware that is doing it and i dont know how to fix it.

can you tell me exactly how i do that? i really do not want to screw something up

Sure right click on the desktop and choose "Nvidia Display Settings" ten go to manage 3d settings and you can disable it there, you may need to disable it on a per-game basis.
