is the 2 gb 980m better or the 3 gb 970 m i dont understand technical terms much so just want to knw what is better

It's really a toss up between the 2, the 980 has a better gpu but the 970 has an extra gb of ram, if you can get a proper 4gb 980 I would go with that.

2gb is fine for 1080p gaming so if you're not gaming at higher than 1080p go with the 980.

You can also try the 390's. they have great performance and you cannot beat that price!
