Alienware M11x not detecting graphics card

Yesterday I did a clean install of Windows 8.1 on my laptop. Everything was working fine and I had installed all the correct drivers. Then at about 10 pm last night when I try to play minecraft I get about ten fps. So I try to reinstall the drivers, but it says that my graphics hardware is not detected. I have the Nvidia GeForce gtx 335m. It's not showing up in display adapters in the device manager, but in other devices it says there is an unknown device.

Check with Dell whether you can change your OS. Probably not.

I've already tried reinstalling the drivers from both the Dell and Nvidia websites.

Hello, many people have this problem, when you boot up your computer, there will be a message saying, press (key) to enter bios or something of the sort, you will want to press that key while booting up. it isn't detecting my graphics card so disabling the integrated one isn't going to help

Have you tried it? It might be detecting the intergrated one, and its not really disabling, but switching over to the dedicated gpu. If it doesnt work then I would contact customer support.
