I know the title might sound presumptious but hear me out.

I've had my Alienware M17 for around 3/4 years and this is the first time I've had this error. Upon rebooting I checked all my drivers (all of which were up to date) and at the time my temps were:
65c - GPU (Nvidia 2070MQ)
(avg) 75c - 80c across all cores (i7 8750H)

Whilst this is a first time this error has occurred is this a sign that my GPU might be nearing its end of life? Is there any way I can tell or if it's just a one off error? If this is the case is there any way I can "maintain/preserve" it to keep it going as long as possible?

Full System Specs (and modifications):
i7-8750H with UHD Graphics 630
RTX 2070MQ
[modified used to be 1TB SSHD and 500GB M.2.] - 3TB Total Storage (2TB M.2. PCIE4.0 (running at 3.0 because of the laptop slot) + 1TB SATA 6gbps)
[modified used to be 2x 8GB 2667mhz] - 32GB (2x16GB 3200mhz) Total RAM (intend to upgrade to 64 as some company said they could)
Killer AC 1550 (9260NGW)
Qualcomm/Atheros Gigabit PCI-E Ethernet Controller E-2500
Thunderbolt 3
3x USB 2.0 ports (Reads as USB 3.1 in HWINFO)

Hey there,

If it's just a once off, I wouldn't worry about it. The error points to a device driver malfunction. It happens.

Update your GPU driver, but first use DDU to install the current one. Are all other system drivers, including chipset up to date? If not, do that now. What bios is your lappie running?
