SPECS:-

Rs.57,490

3rd Gen Intel® Core™ i5-3330
Windows 8 Single Language
8GB RAM,1TB HDD
1GB NVidia® GeForce GTX 645

I am a newbie in gaming and had just started playing games like battlefield 3, skyrim , crysis 2 etc on a Lenevo B570 which really sucked (the laptop was of my roommate in kota) He played those game at 12fps which i thought was tottaly bullshit. I have a very tight budget as i am a student. I used to play all the games till 2010 but after that my pc didnt support new games.
If you have any alternative please suggest (I am in india and dont know any custom rig builders and too scared for building my own rig)

DO NOT BUY an alienware x51 its garbage... mine has done me nothing but bad. overheating issues the graphics cards fan getting hindered by cords etc... i have to use MSI afterburner to even boost my fans speed to keep it from overheating, anyways the psu is complete garbage on it too i have the 240w psu which you can only get to 330w psu and its an adapter its not even on the inside Just trust me when i say that you can build something way better yourself or even find something already built for 900$ that is WAY BETTER i regret so much buying this hunk of junk for 750$ only if dell were men and would refund the garbage they sold me, but they just love to scam people bunch of fuckers if u ask me.

anyways if you have the money this is A...
Hey there,

First off, Alienware are complete rip-offs! That "rig" (if you can even call it that) is almost $1000 USD, there is no way that a computer that bad should cost that much.

You'll have to forgive me as I'm only in Britain, but what stores are there for computer hardware in India? If you can let me know some websites then I can have a look and suggest a computer that is miles better than that Alienware X51.

We have all major electronic companies like dell acer sony toshiba hcl lenovo etc. But we don't have(or at least i don't know) any major custom rig maker.

if you build your own desktop with the same specs, you can save close to 40% or about 20 - 25 k

interested? let me know and i can suggest you a build

Edit: you dont have to put your build together. you pay and they put it together in the h/w shop for 100 or so

I guess mileage really varies. I have been so happy with mine. Mine is the i7-4770 version with the GTXC760Ti 2GB and it's been running beautifully. It cost me about 1,500 USD at the end of the day and I couldn't be happier even with a Retina Macbook pro which I bought when it first launched.

Thankyou guys for your help. I think i may be going for a custom rig as it is cheap and i will be able to upgrade it later. From my research i think x51 should only be bought by those who are mediocre gamers and are looking for console size pc at a lower rate.

I think by saying mediocre gamers, you're tending towards sounding offensive commenting on the skill of the gamer. I'm sure you're not intending to say that though. Console sized pc, yes. But more like for less demanding gamers rather than mediocre.

Alienware's are basically over priced brands, don't fall for it, build your own and save some money while having even more of a performance than an alienware. also that feeling of accomplishment 🙂
