This is a strange story and one I would really get to the bottom off as I dont beleive in "Bad Luck"
I want help finding a solution to my computer keep blowing and that all the componants not just one !!

I saved up my money and bought a brand new custom build desk top in July 2014. Since then I have had about 8 RMA's on the machine. Componants seem to just blow !! So far the graphic card has blown 3 times and been replaced under warrenty. (Radeon R9 series) What next seems to happen is once the GPU is on order to return me a new one I run the machine with the Intel i5 graphics. Within a day this seems to blow the motherboard. It has been replaced 3 times ( Asus)
The PSU (cosshair 450) has been replaced in case there was a fault which was blowing componants.
The company who built the machine are as puzzled as me. It is currently on a RMA and they are replacing the case and the HD. So waht that means is the machine has had every componat replaced in 8 months right down to new kettle leads. The only thing not replaced is the AOC monitor manufactured in 2010.

I have surge protection
I dont overclock
I only use the machine about 5 hours a day
I get paranoid and unplug for power when I go to work or sleep.
I keep it clean and dry.
I cry like I lost a baby each time I have to send it back to be fixed 🙁

So here are my questions .
Any thoughts on what could be blowing componants
Does anyone else have this much bad luck and how did it get resloved?
Does a monitor put enough direct electric strain on componant as to blow them ?

Thank You Reedo,
I thought that too and I changed my room around to go to a different power outlet. I only have a small house so Im limited on where I can put my PC desk. However what I did do was get in a qualified electrician to test all sockets (we from the UK call them sockets.. US call call them power outlets) He was here half the day and checked every socket-Outlet-fusebox in my small house and he found nothing amiss. I also got in a different company to check my solar panel for power surges . He found nothing out of the ordinary.

I have the usual electrical equipment, laptops, a mac book, TVs Nothing else blows or trips the fuses in my small house .
I just cant figure out why so many componant can blow on one computer

bear in mind they updated it to a
CORSAIR 550W VS SERIES™ VS-550 POWER SUPPLY
Is this still not enough power? and why would the GPU blowing make the motherboeard blow ?

Thank You,
I have just recieved the machine back and they have completely rebuilt it with all new componats including new case, Hard drive, PSU and GPU and of course a now MB and processor.

I havent go it out of the box yet - so will try your program tomorow. Im too scared to get it out of the box and plug in the old monitor in case it blows again🙁 BTW the monitor is a 2010 manufactured AOC, but I think I purchased it in 2012.. so not that old really.
The monitor is the only thing that has not completley been replaced on this build so its the only thing I cant rule out.

I spoke someone today who has 30 exprience setting up networks for companies. He said he never in his life heard of a monitor blowing MDs. However he did say that he thought charging a iphone via the USB might cause a problem

Have you ever heard this before ?
