Are they controlled via the motherboard headers or do you have a fan controller? Does the system seem to work fine otherwise or are there other issues as well?

It's either a PSU or motherboard issue I would think. You may need to test the PSU or bench the motherboard to find the issue.

PSU testing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ac7YMUcMjbw

Bench test motherboard: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1753671/bench-troubleshooting.html

If the problem stops with the motherboard out of the case, using the pin shorting method to power on and off, then the case switch is probably the issue.

my system is working fine my pc is shutting down properly in safe mode but in normal all fans still spinning after shutdown

If that's a "shady" copy of windows, there could be any number of unresolvable issues. This is important to knowing if the problem is something resolvable or due to the nature of "cracked" software, especially operating systems.

Since Enterprise versions are extremely uncommon on consumer machines, it seems likely to be the case, but I prefer to ask before assuming.

its genuine version my dad gave me he got this copy from his office he is an engineer

Ok, so that's out of the way and now I can see about trying to get this resolved for you.

Are you using the tiled Metro start screen or do you have something like Classic Shell installed that returns normal Windows 7 style desktop function? I need to know in order to know which steps/directions are best suited to offering advice.

one thing i forgot to mention that last week i changed my processor 😛

no i haven't moded anything in windows its metro style and now i am going to college so this is my last reply for now i will back in 6:30 pm indian standard time

No problem, I'll post some suggestions here for you to try when you return. I'm in the US so I probably won't be on when you do, but I'll be around tomorrow. Is the processor you have listed above the one you changed to, I'm assuming it is? Good luck, in advance.

Start by making sure hibernation is disable. It's usually disabled by default, but you never know.

Try resetting the BIOS to default settings by removing the CMOS battery for thirty seconds and then reinstalling it, with the power off of course, and the unit unplugged. Then power back up, go into the bios and select optimal defaults. Save settings and reboot.

I'd also consider doing a clean install of windows. Anytime you change a major hardware component like the CPU or motherboard, it's a good idea. Otherwise, there can be some glitches regarding the system hardware configurations.

I'd also make sure you have all the latest drivers installed per the motherboard product page or windows update, since it's an older board, windows update might actually have newer driver versions than what's on the ECS website.

earlier my processor was c2d e4300 and now upgraded to c2d e7500
and resetting cmos didn't solved my problem pc is shutting down properly in safe mode so is there any windows problem? and hibernation is also turned off

thanks bro :)

Again same issue occurred after installing some software
Android studio
Java
Microsoft flight simulator

Really? None of those should have anything to do with the power or system configuration. Try uninstalling them one at a time followed by a shut down to see if any of them is the culprit for some weird reason. You might need to shut down, reboot and shut down again between removals to get an accurate depiction of whether or not a particular title is involved or not. I'm leaning towards it being a coincidence but it's worth trying. We're these all installed before prior to reinstalling windows.
