All monitors shut off, graphics card no longer detected

I woke up this morning and turned on my PC and everything was working fine. After about 30 minutes of browsing the web my 3 monitors suddenly turned off and I could hear system sounds(the pinging sound when you run programs as admin for example) over and over and then nothing. I rebooted my PC and none of my monitors were getting a signal. I rebooted again with on-board graphics and that works just fine. After looking into my device manager I can no longer see my gfx card unless I show hidden devices. This is what's showing https://i.imgur.com/PGLpJAI.png and here is the events log https://i.imgur.com/uG79ecx.png

My gfx card is still lighting up and the fans are all spinning as well, but it's saying it's not plugged in/detecting monitors otherwise.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers but it doesn't allow me to reinstall because it's saying it can't detect a gfx card.
I tried changing which slot it was plugged into but that didn't help either.

I'm not sure what else to do so I'm hoping that someone here will have some ideas. I'll leave a list of parts now in screenshot:
My gfx card that isn't detected is a asus gtx 1070 rog strix

If any other info is needed just ask and I'll provide it to the best of my ability, thanks in advance!

I'm going over to a friends later today to try the card on his system and if that doesn't work we're going to use his psu and GFX card(he has the same one) on mine. So I'll report back as soon as I test all of that!

Sorry for the long time between my last reply. I tried a bunch of thins as my friend never ended up coming through and figured my GPU was just dead. All of my other parts were working fine, my PSU voltages were all normal and the only thing not working was my GPU. So I ordered a GTX 1070ti and I plugged in and everything was good for 2 days. Today I woke up and I'm having the exact same issue as described in the original post. Lights on the gpu come on, fans are spinning, but it's not detected in device manager/bios and it's not giving any signal to my monitor. So at this point should I assume the issue lies with my motherboard? Or is it possible something is specifically wrong with my 8pin cable(even though I examined it and it looked fine?)

Could my voltages be fine and the power supply still be at fault? I also tried both of my PCIe slots and neither were working. No I'm not over clocking anything.

another quick update: I just tried the other PCIe slot again even though it didn't work this morning and now it's working but only for the new GPU and still not the old one? I'm extremely confused now..
