All my games think i have a controller plugged in.

Ok so i've had this problem for awhile and my games all think i have a controller plugged in i plugged a controller in months ago i tried disabling all my drivers except mouse, keyboard and headphones. Please help me i'm actually kinda desperate since it's just becoming so annoying.

what are those all games?

does the pc says that you do have a controller physically coencted via usb or bluetooth?

All games means pretty much anygame i play new or old.

Windows 10 like 2 years old

Like the games say something like press A/B on the controller or only shows the controller setting in the controls option

I have an I7 4790K, 2x980 msi 4g gaming, 16gb ram, 1x 250 gb ssd and a 3tb hdd

My pc dosn't even show the controllers drivers.

some games don't show it it's mostly only steam games that think i have a controller.

then i would reinstall steam, but first backup the games library

if the install is 2 years old, consider a full reinstall from a new windows 10 iso, so download the tool from here

I don't wanna reinstall windows it would take hours and i know you're just trying to be helpful but i don't wanna spend another 300+ hours downloading stuff do you know any soloution regarding maybe tweaking a little with steam to make it not think i have a controller. And btw i have reinstalled steam already and the problem still accurs

i don't want you to download stuff either, that is why i say do backups of the steam library, the backups doesn't use internet, they are stored locally on your hard disk, reinstall windows is part of windows usage :/

when windows decides to see hardware that is nto there, is easier to reinstall than fight with it trying to convince it about that

But i still don't want to reinstall windows with my luck whatever i do the windows will blue screen and i won't have a computer anymore it has happened before like i just want to disable it if only on steam please.

Ok so i have had this problem for a while and now it has just pushed me over the line beacuse some games won't even show the controls option so i have to guess what buttons to press. Ok so i know some people say i have to delete the driver but i can't find it even in the hidden drivers tab it won't show help me. Even if the solution is only for steam that's fine with me.
