All SATA drives disabled

Motherboard is ASUS P5G41T-M LX2.
Was working OK but tried to change the boot priority and now all SATA HDDs & SSDs are showing as disabled - "a device enclosed in parentheses has been disabled in the corresponding type menu".
I am unable to locate the corresponding type menu to which it refers, doesn't appear to be under storage configurations.

Do you have a USB boot drive attached? It may share a SATA bus with your hdd

I have reset BIOS to defaults, no different.

No, I have an internal bootable SSD, an internal bootable HDD and a DVD drive. All three are showing as disabled.

Try only one bootable drive at a time (the one with the system OS on ideally)
