All sounds play through microphone.

I'm having problems with my sound card as when I'm playing games or music, the people I'm usually in a Skype call with or via mumble can hear all the sounds from my computer (in-game sounds, music).
I've tried disabling stereo mix and everything else so its just microphone enabled, but that didn't do anything.
Also when I've muted my microphone with the controller on the headset cord, my friends can still hear my music and not my voice.
I also tried turning my headset sound right down to 0 via the headset controller and when playing music, the microphone shows transmitting on the control panel - sounds - recording. at max volume. Also when I'm muted and not talking but playing music, it shows small amounts of transmitting sounds.
Any ideas of whats happening? seems to be all internal software stuff and focused on the microphone.

In sound, there isn't any Rec.Playback, I have: Microphone, Line in (currently unavailable), Aux (currently unavailable), Stereo Mix (currently unavailable), Wave (ready), Front Mic (Realtek Disabled), Microphone (Realtek Disabled) , CD Audio (Realtek Disabled), Line In (Realtek Disabled) Stereo Mix (Realtek Disabled).

I disabled wave and also tried both front and rear ports, problem still persists.

K i tried another headset, and it seemed to work at first. I used skype test call and I listened for any music playing in the background of it, and unfortunatley i could still hear music to an extent with the microphone turned on and off on the controller of the mic.

So the headset isn't the culprit then so feedbacks not an issue.
Would you mind seeing which device Skype is using for the default recording.
Just open a message with any person and at the look for a "Wifi" like bars next to call, video call e.t.c
Under "adjust microphone settings" what device is selected?
Also try Selecting and deselecting "Automatically adjust microphone settings" as Skype may be boosting the signal

yeah its using Microphone (ASUS Xonar DGX Audio Device), i have auto adjust off already.

i am having the same issue and cant find anyway around it. im using a sound blaster z sound card with optical cables if that helps.

I had the same issue and could not solve, but bypass it.
I re-activated the On-Board Soundcard in addition to my Asus Xonar DGX, downloaded the latest Realtek Driver for it and plugged in the Mic at the Socket of the Mainboard. Then i set recording device to the Realtek mic, also in TS3. In addition i disabled the Asus Xonar mix.

So its:
Outpout = Asus Xonar
Input = Realtek OnBoard

Works fine now.
