Hi All
All of my Usbs on motherboard (asus strix z270f) stopped working after i plugged in a mixer to the usb, this seemed to kill the usbs none of the ports work in the board at all even the usb c port on the rear i/o .
the strange thing is they seem to have power as when i plug anything into any of the ports the led on the perephrial lights up just doesnt work, it is as if the data channel has died.

I have tried the keyboard and mouse in all ports and they will not work in the bios, so I know its not a driver issue in windows.

I have the latest bios installed, I have reset the bios to factory.

Still no luck, I am looking to replace the board with the same model if I have no suggestions regarding the problem, That will avoid me having to reinstall.
I had to install a seperate card for usb
The board is an Asus strix z270f gaming mainboard

Any help would be appreciated
regards
Ryan

try reinstalling the latest USB drivers for this board from ASUS.
then clear CMOS.

and check with them about RMA if nothing helps.
even if it may be out of warranty, if this is a known issue they still may help with replacement by only charging for shipping/etc..
