Allocate more RAM to an application

I have 32 gb of RAM. I have a program, Light Show Pro, that boggs down. It will onlyuse about 1.3 gb of ram. Can I get it to use more. I have a new i5 desktop with windows 8.

The programs will use all RAM they need when available. You can't force a program to use more ram just like that.

And if that program runs at 32-bit mode (a 32-bit program), it can't use more than 4GB no matter what you do.
