Since getting Windows 10 I continually find boxes checked to allow various Windows apps I don't use through the firewall. I uncheck the boxes but in a few days I find some are checked again. I asked Microsoft community but only got one response suggesting it was some other program I was using and not being done by Microsoft. It's more of an irritation but should I be concerned about this?

Many firewalls will allow software automatically if you installed them and "allowed" windows to allow the software to make changes to your computer. When you install something, you are giving many permissions that are necessary for the software to run. It's when this tidy little bit of computing does not function, you have to go in and manually instruct the firewall to allow something to function correctly.

Okay, thanks Phillip. It still bugs me though that something is making changes to my firewall settings when I'm not looking.
