I just got a new laptop.
It's the best I can afford right now and it's certainly not special, however, it should be able to run simple steam or itch.io games.
It runs Opera GX, Chrome, and MS Edge fine.
My issue being I reinstall Steam and reinstall my games. Double click on the desktop shortcut and boom, nothing. No error, no popup, no nothing.
It opens in Task Manager for a few seconds then closes itself with no input.
Only .exe files I can run are installed through websites i.e. Browsers, Steam, Valorant, Minecraft, Roblox etc.
Extracted exe files from zipped folders crash whenever opened. Steam installed exe files crash whenever opened.
I'm running out of options. PC has almost 7 GB of open storage, all drivers are updated, Windows 10 is updated, and I've tried reinstalling Steam.
Only success I've had is by opening an exe file windowed and running as an administrator.
