Almost Always 100% Disk Usage

Hey guys,

I'm having a problem with my disk usage being almost permanently at around 100% which slowed my computer to a crawl. The main culprit seems to be a process called 'Service Host: Local System (16)' which is using an average of around 75-90% of my total disk space.

Does anyone have any idea what's causing this, or what can be done about it? I would appreciate any help anyone can give.

Cheers.

Welcome to the TH Community, @SirMonocle!

I'd advise you to disable some Windows Services and see if the usage and your system's performance will improve.
What you need to do is Press Windows+R > Write services.msc and then disable
1-Super fetch
2-Windows Search
3-Background Intelligent Transfer Service

If that doesn't help you, I'd suggest you run the sfc /scannow command from the CMD (run as admin).

It might also be a good idea to check for any potential infections through your anti-virus/malware software.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! :)
