im having a bit of an annoying disturbance where i cannot minimize my game to desktop at full screen. when i alt+tab or pressed the windows key, nothing appears on screen except the mouse cursor. i am able to get into the game again by using alt+tab but it doesnt satisfy my desire to look at other things at desktop.

the thing is, sometimes it works like a charm. the minimization is fast and smooth and sometimes, its just black. it always work for other resolution but not as smooth. i'd like to know if this can be fixed or theres some workaround.

thanks in advance

What game are you playing? Inside the games video settings - can you change it to "Windowed" mode/Full Screen, or isn't there any options for that. It sounds like when you are playing full screen, your computer/video isn't not "refreshing" to your normal desktop. Your game maybe using up most all of your video cards memory and not releasing it for the normal desktop to "appear".

Also are you playing the game at your monitors native resolution? (1920x1080 - 1080p, 1600x900, etc) If the game is "switching" your resolution from the monitor native, that could also cause the screen to not "refresh" correctly when you Alt+Tab out wanting to go to another program.

hey, thanks for replying.

i was playing GTA San Andreas under 1366x768 resolution as that is the max resolution my monitor can handle. there are no windowed full screen mode except i alt+enter and maximize it, but its not as enjoyable.

no thanks, that'll be too much for me. i'm not the only one having this problem. i play online on it (sa-mp) so i know a lot of windows 10 user who also have the same issue but couldnt care less. we could use alt+enter and then alt+tab all we want.

i think it's the game itself rather than the windows. i can use alt+tab in fullscreen when i first joined, but if i press Esc (pause), i won't be able to use it anymore. its odd
