Hi!

I upgraded my drivers yesterday, and now when i play some games, they get stuck on 20 or 22 fps.
And when i alt+tab out and back in, it fixes the problem, it is really annoying. Do you have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Specs:
GPU: GTX 660
CPU: AMD FX 8350
Mobo: Asus M5A97 R2.0
PSU: 460W ( some kind of Hp psu)
RAM: 8gb HyperX Savage

Update: in games like skyrim it lags when i save and/or load.
in payday it lags on start, and when i enter a game. then i just have to alt+ tab

Once you have enough posts, you'll be able to unselect the solution.

Have you tried a different set of drivers? You also didn't say what PSU you have. If you don't know, open the case and read the label. Take a picture if necessary and post it online (Imgur, TinyPic, Photobucket etc).

Yea i was gonna say, he may have google chrome or something with high usage open in the back ground

and its nothing with overload. i have 8gigs or ram Kingston HyperX savage.
for example in skyrim, if i quicksave/save or load/quickload it will drop to 20. and then when i alt tab out and in,it's on 60 again.
and i have been able to have chrome open, and even several games without any problem. i Think it happened after the new GPU update

The psu is some kind of Hp (Hewlett packard) that i scavenged from my friend when he bought a new psu.
as i tested the game on windowed with msi afterburner up, it seem to make the Clock speed to idle. on load it has around 980 mhz, idle is 324. it may be because i had it in windowed, i have no idea. But if it is at idle speed even when i play games, what should i do?

The reason I keep asking for the PSU is because it's possible that is the culprit. Yet you don't seem to want to read the label. If the GPU doesn't want to ramp up, it could be because of drivers, over heating or not able to pull enough power from the PSU. Windowed mode may tax the GPU and CPU more than in Full screen.

Read the label. Try a different set of drivers. Play full screen.
