Question Alternating cpu and dram led

So I got this problem in my Asus strix z270f gaming Mobo. All happened when I dropped a vase on my desk where my computer stands. Didn't hit the computer at all but the hit made the table shake a bit. Now my PC doesn't want to reboot.

I've empty all of the ram slots, and only insertet one stick of Corsair 8gb lpx ddr 4 3200 MHz. Only then will it boot. I then tried to insert the second in a2, but then I get this alternating dram and cpu LED.

I've checked all the sticks and the all work in b2, but when I insert one in both b2 and a2 it doesn't work and the alternating happens. Is the a2 slot dead?

It is indeed possible that the shock fractured a solder joint at the socket. You could try wriggling the socket some to see if it comes back in contact... but then you'll never know when it will go out again. Such are the vagaries of intermittent defects.
