On my new PC I have 2 aux ports. One with a headphone and one with a mic. The one with the mic is completely out of place(it was a used machine) so it is useless. I can plug my headset into my headphone jack but of course the mic doesn't work. I know that the mic works as when I plug it into my mac I can hear out of it and use the mic. Is there an extension or something I can get to plug into my headphone port, then plug my headphones into, and be able to use the mic and hear my games? Thanks (For the record my headset has a mic. It just can't use both.)

Is this a desktop or laptop?

On most desktop there is a front and rear mic port so if one is broken and the other is not then just use the other.

If this is a laptop then you can get a usb sound card and plug into that. If you dont need audiophile/studio level sound then pretty much any of the $10 ones will work

Hi thanks for answering. It's a desktop but the wire on my headphones aren't long enough to reach the back. This USB sound card.. so I can plug it into the headphone jack, plug my headphones into it, and it will allow me to hear what's on my computer and use he mic? And no lol I'm playing CSGO and GMOD so I don't really care about the sound quality being magnificent
