Alternative to keyboard

I'm a PC gamer and I'm looking an alternative to a keyboard. I like the keyboard + mouse for FPS. However, I find moving horrible but aiming/shooting great. I tried using an Xbox One controller. The moving is great but the aiming/shooting is horrible. I want to keep the mouse. Is there something I can use instead to replace the keyboard. I remember a device that looked like a mouse covered in buttons and the buttons mapped to keyboard keys. I can't remember what it was called and hence can't google it. Any ideas?

kinda sounds like youre talking about an MMO mouse (razer naga for example) although that doesnt really fix your dislike of keyboard movement.
