Weird question but is there a portable alternative to laptops. I would love a pc but I move around alot so I need a portable alternative. Is there a solution?

Solution
Laptops in the UK are pretty expensive from what I have seen. I helped someone find a "decent gaming" laptop which has a Core i5-5200u and a nVidia 840m for £600 (excl VAT). Converted to USD that works out to $937. A laptop with those specs usually costs about $600 - $650 excluding any sale discounts in the US.

You are going to have to either lower your expectations or increase your budget.

Yeah I've seen it but I need it for gaming mostly

What kind of gaming lol. You can play candy crush on your phone.

Nvidia Shield tablets are also nice portable gaming beasts that'll play almost anything.

You can buy a gameboy....

you can try one of the mini ITX systems but they are not really good if you are looking for hardcore gaming since the top GPU's require a big PSU.

if you can wait you could go for a steambox which will just be the same size as a PS4 or Xbone but i'm not sure what kind of limits on HW they have

My best suggestion is handhelds like the vita or 3ds. Phones are good but the graphics are generally not as good as laptops. Plus they don't last very long in terms of battery life. Tablets are an alternative but have the same problem.

Granted that the handhelds also have this problem but they generally have better graphics and will not throttle during intense gaming sessions.

In other words, you want a high end laptop.

There are basically 2 1/2 devices.
Laptops
Desktops
Inbetween things like convertible laptops or tablets.

You could build a small desktop. But that would still mean hauling around a whole bunch of stuff. Monitor, cables, needing a wall outlet...
And it would still weigh 3x a laptop, at the very least.

I friggin loved the Neverhood.

yes dude you have to really give us more info on how much portability you need and what kind of games you are looking to play or we are not going to be able to give you the best answer

unless you are going to be using a controller for gaming then you would still have to drag around other stuff. also i hope you don't care about picture quality because that case only comes with a 720p monitor. also i think this case is ment just for a normal gaming console. if itsa an alienware then it will have a top intel CPU and a top AMD/NVIDIA GPU in it which may throw off more heat then an xbox or playstation

Road trip? And you'll plug this in where?
That GAEMS case weighs either 15 or 17 lbs. Add the alienware and other stuff, and you're at about 25 lbs.

The 'portability' aspect is quickly sinking under the excessive weight.
