The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentiall allow a malicious user to gain control of this application. It's been there for a while now and I haven't found a solution to it. I've done sfc /scannow and that has said that there has been no issues whatsoever as well as DISM commands. Everything says it's fine but I can never view data usage without it popping that message up. Windows 10 1909.

Solution
Some suggested fixes are
  1. Run Defender AV scan
  2. SFC/DISM - you already done this
  3. Try a clean boot and see if it changes anything - make sure to read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or windows won't load right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows - if clean boot fixes it, it shows its likely a startup program. You should, over a number of startups. restart the programs you stopped to isolate the one that is to blame.
  4. Startup repair which I question as being helpful at all.
  5. repair install... which is difficult due to current version of ISO available on Win 10 site.

re 5. To run a repair install we need a copy of 1909 as the ISO has to be the same version as what is installed, and WIn 10 iso on Microsoft website is 2004 now.

You could download the upgrade assistant and update win 10 to 2004, it might fix the error as it replaces windows. Click the 1st link here - https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10
